Pulse is a fictional smartphone application that is meant to revolutionize the way users experience sound. Unlike other sound optimization apps, Pulse stands out due to its highly effective acoustical environment analysis. Its user-friendly interface and ability to scan surroundings with a smartphone camera make it ideal for users of all levels of sound system knowledge.
The app's unique icon, inspired by patterns created by chladni plates, perfectly represents its main focus on sound waves and their interaction with the environment. Additionally, Pulse comes with an animation video to further simplify the app's functionalities while highlighting the physics behind it in German.
After the app scans the user's surroundings to measure the acoustical properties, the user inputs information about their sound system through the internal database, camera prompts or manually and the app then provides the user with a detailed profile of their optimal setup, along with suggestions on how to further improve their experience. The app's built-in equalizer function also emulates the perfect setup for users who utilize Bluetooth to send sound signals, eliminating the need for any compromise on speaker placement.
